Invisibility Spell
Thirty seconds of ghostfire, and your army walks through the storm.
The Invisibility Spell is a high-tier offensive spell in Clash of Clans that cloaks a cluster of your attacking troops in a shimmering, ghostly aura, rendering them untargetable by enemy units for a short window. Unlike the defensive Invisibility Spell used in base design, this is a field-cast tool that lets your army slip past the enemy's focused fire and carve a path through a base's heart. Unlocked at a late Town Hall tier, it rewards players who have mastered hero charges, Lavaloon compositions, and multi-hero assaults. Its 30-second window is brief but devastatingly effective when timed to the moment your most fragile or most critical units cross into a base's defensive core.

Lore & Background
In the scattered villages and fortified strongholds of the Clash of Clans world, spell vials are the alchemical heart of every serious war. The Invisibility Spell, brewed in the upper chambers of a Town Hall 11 laboratory, draws on the same ethereal currents that power the more familiar Healing and Rage vials but twists them toward concealment rather than enhancement. The liquid inside the vial appears as a pale, swirling mist that seems to shift and dissolve when stared at directly, as though the spell is already half-ghost before it is even uncorked. Village elders and war strategists speak of the spell with a mix of admiration and caution. A well-placed Invisibility cast can turn a suicidal Queen Charge into a surgical strike, letting the Archer Queen slip past a ring of Inferno Towers and Air Defenses while the enemy's own troops simply walk past her, unable to lock on. Conversely, a poorly timed drop wastes precious seconds and leaves your heroes exposed the moment the mist fades, often at the worst possible moment—mid-charge, mid-swing, mid-victory. What makes the Invisibility Spell philosophically distinct from other offensive tools is what it does not do. It does not make your troops invulnerable. It does not shield them from the relentless, mechanical targeting of Inferno Towers or the sweeping arc of Air Sweepers. It merely whispers to the enemy's troops, 'You do not see her,' and for thirty seconds, they believe it. The rest is up to your timing, your pathing, and the cold arithmetic of DPS versus hit points.
In Their Own Story
The fog rolled in off the salt marshes just as the Queen crested the ridge above the enemy base. Below, the layout yawned open like a wound—Inferno Towers bristling, Air Defenses spinning their lazy arcs, a cluster of Air Sweepers idling in their pens. The Chieftain stood at the Queen's left, his war drum already thumping a slow, deliberate beat. 'Now,' the Queen murmured, and the vial in her hand pulsed with that cold, shifting mist. She crushed it. The Invisibility Spell bloomed outward in a pale ring, swallowing the Lavaloon cluster and the two heroes in a shimmer that made the air look like water. The Air Sweepers below turned, scanned, and—found nothing. Their targeting lasers swept over the Queen's head like light through glass. For thirty seconds, the base forgot they were there. The Queen used every one of them.
Reader's Guide
Effect: When cast, the Invisibility Spell envelops all friendly troops within its 6×6-tile radius in a ghostly cloak for 30 seconds. While cloaked, those troops cannot be targeted by enemy troops (Air Sweepers, Balloons, or any other unit). They can still deal damage, and they can still be hit by buildings such as Inferno Towers, Air Defenses, and Mortars. The spell does not affect buildings, so your own Air Defenses or the enemy's will continue to lock on normally. Unlock: Town Hall 11. The vial occupies one of your spell slots in the war preparation screen and can be carried into any attack once unlocked. Practical tip – 2H Lavaloon: In a two-hero Lavaloon (Queen + Chieftain leading a wave of Lava Hounds and Balloons), the Lavaloon cluster is your glass cannon. The moment the Hounds cross into the base's inner ring, drop the Invisibility Spell centered on the Hound cluster, slightly ahead of the heroes. This prevents the enemy's Air Sweepers and any remaining Balloons from focusing the Hounds, buying your heroes the 15–20 seconds they need to clear the Inferno Towers and Air Defenses before the mist fades. Do NOT drop it before the Hounds enter the base; you will waste the window on open field where there are no enemy troops to suppress. The ideal moment is when the first Air Sweeper is about to lock on. One well-placed vial can be the difference between a 98% and a 100%. For a 5H Queen Charge, the logic inverts: drop the Invisibility on the Queen and her supporting troops as she enters the base's core, so the enemy's ground troops cannot swarm her while she pops the last two Inferno Towers. The Chieftain and remaining heroes then finish the job in the seconds after the mist lifts.
Did You Know?
- Invisibility does not make troops invulnerable—defenses like Inferno Towers and Air Defenses will still target and damage cloaked units. It only removes them from enemy troop targeting.
- The spell's 30-second duration is the same as the Rage Spell, but its 6×6 area is smaller than the 7×7 area of a Healing Spell, making precise placement more critical.
- Because invisible troops can still deal damage, a cloaked Queen can continue her attack animation and pop buildings even while the enemy's troops walk past her uninterested.
- The Invisibility Spell was introduced at a relatively late Town Hall tier, meaning players must invest significant resources into base upgrades and hero levels before it even becomes available for war.
