Bounce Spell

One bounce, and the wall is just a suggestion.

The Bounce Spell is a utility-oriented offensive spell in Clash of Clans that launches every troop caught in its radius upward into the air, effectively granting them a momentary hop that lets them clear walls, hedges, and other low obstacles without needing to destroy them first. It was introduced in 2024 as part of the game's ongoing expansion of the spell roster, filling a niche between the brute-force wall-breaking of Wall Breaker Spells and the pure troop-boosting of Rage or Heal. In practice, the Bounce Spell is a force-multiplier for any army composition that struggles to get troops past thick wall rings. By timing a bounce at the right moment, a player can send an entire wave of ground or air units tumbling over a wall segment, collapsing the enemy's defensive geometry and exposing inner buildings far earlier than a traditional wall-break would allow.

Lore & Background

In the war-torn villages of the Clash of Clans world, spell casters have long been the quiet architects behind every great raid. Where a Barbarian King charges with a battle cry and a Queen unleashes a storm of arrows, the spell caster simply raises a hand and rewrites the rules of the battlefield for a few precious seconds. The Bounce Spell is a testament to that philosophy: rather than adding more damage or more healing, it changes the geometry of the fight itself. Village elders in the lore often speak of the Bounce as a trick learned from watching children leap over garden fences during summer games. The idea was simple—why should a wall be an absolute barrier if a well-timed push can send your army sailing over it? The spell's golden, springy glow is said to mimic the way a ball bounces off a cobblestone street, and casters describe the sensation as a warm, upward rush that lifts even the heaviest Golems off the ground. Strategists in the game's community have quickly recognized the Bounce as a game-changer for compositions that rely on tight troop clustering. A single well-placed bounce can turn a wall that would normally cost minutes to break into a non-event, letting a 2H Lavaloon or a 5H Queen Charge hit the core of a base while the enemy's air defenses are still locked onto the wrong targets. It has become a favorite among players who prefer elegant, timing-based raids over slow, grinding assaults.

In Their Own Story

The morning fog still clung to the valley when Kael unrolled the spell scroll across the war table. Around him, the council of raiders shuffled their spears and muttered about the triple-wall ring guarding the enemy's Town Hall. "You want to bounce them?" the Queen's Champion asked, skepticism dripping from his voice. Kael simply tapped the scroll. "Watch."

Three minutes later, the fog had burned off and the army was massed at the outer wall. The enemy archers were already perched, nocks drawn. Kael raised his hand. The Bounce Spell erupted in a ring of molten gold, and two hundred troops—Hog Riders, Balloons, a full complement of Wizards—lifted clean over the wall in a single, thunderous arc. They landed on the other side like a wave breaking over a seawall, boots and fins splashing into the enemy's inner courtyard before a single stone had crumbled. The Queen's Champion said nothing. He just sharpened his sword and followed.

Reader's Guide

The Bounce Spell targets friendly troops within a circular radius and launches them upward for a short duration. While airborne, troops can clear walls, hedges, and other low-profile obstacles without dealing damage to them. The effect is a one-time vertical impulse rather than a sustained levitation, so troops land on the far side and continue their normal pathing. It does not affect buildings, traps, or enemy units—only your own army. Practical tip for a 5H Queen Charge (TH15/16): Deploy your Queen with her first charge into the outer wall gap as normal, but instead of waiting for her to break through, drop the Bounce Spell centered on the Queen and the clustered troops immediately behind her the moment they reach the wall's base. The bounce carries them over the remaining wall segment, dropping them directly into the second ring. This shaves 8–12 seconds off your wall-break window, meaning your Queen's second charge and your supporting army hit the core while the enemy's Inferno Towers are still locked on the outer perimeter. Pair with a Rage Spell on the landing zone so the troops are at full speed the instant they hit the ground on the far side. For a 2H Lavaloon, use the Bounce on the Balloon cluster as they approach the wall—this prevents them from idling at the wall while your Lavaloon troops are still clearing the outer ring, keeping the entire push synchronized.
