The storage is available from Town Hall 1, making it one of the very first structures every player builds. Upgrading it requires gold and progressively more time at each level; costs and durations increase steadily from level 1 through 10. Because it is a storage building, it cannot attack, so its survival depends entirely on the defenses you place around it.
