Clan Capital
One village, one clan, one shared legacy built brick by brick.
The Clan Capital is a shared, collectively-built village in Clash of Clans where every member of a clan contributes to the same structures, defenses, and facilities. Unlike the personal Home Village each player manages alone, the Capital is a communal space: buildings are raised by the group, resources are pooled, and the whole clan works toward shared goals. It was introduced as a major expansion of gameplay in 2021 and has since become a cornerstone of clan identity. The Capital is divided into several themed districts, each with its own purpose—from a Builder Base where you craft personal structures, to a Defense District where the clan fortifies together, to the raidable Capital Peak where rival clans test their might. A designated Chief oversees the capital's development, and members can donate gold, troops, and other resources to accelerate progress. It transforms the clan from a roster of players into a living, breathing settlement.

Lore & Background
In the world of Clash of Clans, players have always been defined by their villages—fortified, walled, and fiercely personal. The introduction of the Clan Capital changed that narrative. It whispered a new idea: what if your clan had a place of its own? A town that belonged to no single player but to the group as a whole? The Capital was born from that question, and it reshaped how players thought about belonging. The lore of the Capital is one of collective labor. Where the Home Village is a single builder's pride, the Capital is a thousand small contributions stacked together. A member donates a handful of gold here; another trains a troop there; a third places a cannon in the Defense District. No one person builds the whole thing, and that is the point. The Chief, elected or appointed by the clan, sets the tempo—deciding which building to level next, which district to prioritize—but the hands that do the work are many. The Capital Peak, added as a later expansion, gave the Capital a dramatic edge. Here, the shared village becomes a target. Rival clans march on the peak, and the defending clan must rally, coordinate, and hold the line. It turned the Capital from a peaceful commune into a fortress with a story, a history of sieges and victories written into its walls. For many players, the Capital is no longer just a feature; it is the clan's home, its identity, its badge of unity.
In Their Own Story
The morning fog still clung to the Capital Center when Kael pushed open the heavy oak doors of the Builder Base. His clan, the Ironwood Pact, had been grinding toward a Level 5 Workshop for three weeks, and today was the day the last stone would be laid. Around him, the familiar clatter of hammers and the smell of fresh mortar filled the air. Mira was already at the Defense District, repositioning the archers' towers after last night's Capital Peak raid. "They hit us from the south again," she called without turning around. "Same angle. Same three walls. They're studying us."
Kael smiled. Good. Let them study. Let them think the Ironwood Pact was predictable. He walked to the Chief's banner—his own, pinned above the drafting table—and unrolled the next set of plans. The Training Camp needed reinforcement. The Bank was due for an upgrade. And somewhere beyond the Capital Peak, a rival clan was sharpening their axes. He picked up his hammer. The village would be ready by dusk. It always was.
Reader's Guide
Step through the gates of the Capital Center and you'll feel the difference immediately. This is not one player's tidy compound. The streets are wider, the buildings larger, and every structure carries the weight of dozens of contributors. The Chief's banner hangs at the center, and around it the main plaza bustles with clan members trading resources and checking the build queue. To the east lies the Builder Base, your personal workshop within the collective. Here you craft and upgrade your own structures, a small private garden in a shared city. The Defense District to the north is where the clan's cannons, archers' towers, and walls go up—each one placed by a different member, creating a patchwork of strategy that no single mind could design. The Workshop District hums with the sound of crafting, while the Training Camp to the west produces fresh troops for the clan's collective effort. The Bank, with its vaulted gold, sits in a quiet corner, and the Arena to the south is where friendly sparring and competitive bouts take place. But the true spectacle is the Capital Peak. Rising above the rest of the village, this fortified hilltop is the raidable heart of the Capital. Defenses are layered, paths are winding, and the whole clan rallies here when the alarm bells ring. Visually, the Peak is the Capital's crown—taller, more fortified, and lit by torches that glow against the evening sky. Progression feels communal in a way the Home Village never does. You don't unlock buildings for yourself; you vote, donate, and wait for the clan to agree. The visual language shifts as the Capital grows: early on it's a modest cluster of huts and a single watchtower; by the time the Peak is fully fortified, it's a sprawling, multi-tiered fortress that looks less like a game feature and more like a small town that has decided to go to war.
Did You Know?
- The Capital Peak is the only area of the Clan Capital that can be raided by other clans, turning the shared village into both a home and a battlefield.
- Clan members can donate gold, troops, and other resources to the Capital, meaning a single player's contribution is a fraction of the whole—no one builds it alone.
- The Chief role is distinct from the standard clan leader; a clan can have a leader who manages membership and a Chief who specifically oversees Capital building priorities.
- The Capital is entirely separate from each player's Home Village: upgrading a Capital building does not affect your personal village, and vice versa.
